After 40 year's daily use, Kristin wanted to replace the family tray sling, but couldn't buy a new one anywhere, so husband Steve made a new wooden ring, while Kristin restored the fabric, and then searched haberdashery stores in Norway for further supplies of suitable braid. 
Here is our version of this Norwegian kitchen classic.  Keep your tea tray to hand conveniently stored on the wall or back of a door, simply hang the sling on a nail. 
Holds a tray up to 40cm wide.  (The tray shown in the photograph measures 34cm wide x 46cm long.)
